Workshop on Occupational Health & Industrial Safety Organized in Nagpur
Nagpur: The Institution of Engineers (India), Nagpur Local Centre in association with The ISHRAE Nagpur Chapter, successfully organized a workshop on “Occupational Health and Industrial Safety” in Nagpur.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from engineers, industry professionals, academicians, and students, reflecting the growing importance of safety and health practices in industrial environments.
The keynote address was delivered by Engineer Jayant Joshi, General Manager, Renuka Equipment’s Pvt. Ltd., and Honorary Secretary, Institution of Engineers India Nagpur Local Centre. In his address, he emphasized the critical role of safety culture, risk management, and adherence to industrial safety standards to ensure sustainable and accident-free workplaces.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Sandip Shidkhedkar, Chairman, Institution of Engineers India Nagpur Local Centre, who also highlighted the role of IEI in promoting engineering excellence and professional development.
Engineer Devidash Shinde, President of the ISHRAE Nagpur Chapter, briefed the audience about ISHRAE’s initiatives and contributions towards advancing HVAC&R technologies and industry practices.
Dr. J. F. Agrawal, Convener of the program, provided an overview of the workshop, outlining its objectives and significance in today’s industrial scenario.
The Chief Guest, Engineer Jayant Joshi, was formally introduced by Dr. Ashish Raut, Convener, ISHRAE Nagpur Chapter, and was felicitated by Dr. Sandip Shidkhedkar as a token of appreciation.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Engineer Pratik Chandurkar, Honorary Secretary of the ISHRAE Nagpur Chapter, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, speakers, organizers, and participants for making the event a success.
