KIMS-Kingsway Hospitals to Host Pulmonology Update 3.0

Nagpur:Reinforcing its commitment to advancing respiratory care and promoting continuous medical learning, KIMS-Kingsway Hospitals, Nagpur, is set to host Pulmonology Update 3.0, a focused half-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Organised by the hospital’s Centre of Excellence for Pulmonology in association with the Vidarbha Chest Association and the Association of Physicians, Nagpur, the academic initiative aims to bring together leading pulmonologists, physicians, and postgraduate students from across the region. The programme is designed to deliver practical, case-based insights into real-world respiratory challenges, ensuring direct clinical applicability.

The CME will feature an eminent panel of national faculty from some of India’s most prestigious medical institutions, along with senior physicians and pulmonologists from the Vidarbha region. The distinguished experts include:

Dr. Anant Mohan, Senior Professor & Head, Pulmonary Medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi
Dr. Richa Gupta, Senior Professor & Head, Pulmonary Medicine, CMC, Vellore
Dr. Rupak Singla, Senior Professor, National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (NITRD), New Delhi

These experts will lead a series of high-impact scientific sessions focusing on evidence-based diagnostic approaches, recent advancements in respiratory medicine, and interactive case discussions. The sessions are curated to address current challenges in pulmonology, promote best practices, and equip clinicians with updated knowledge to enhance patient outcomes.

Highlighting the academic vision behind the initiative, Dr. Abhishek Faye, Organizing Chairperson, said:
“Our department is planning to initiate a post-doctoral training course with a special focus on Interventional Pulmonology. This initiative will strengthen advanced skill development and create opportunities for specialized training in the region.”

Adding further academic engagement, the programme will also feature a post-lunch quiz competition exclusively for postgraduate students, encouraging participation and knowledge exchange among emerging medical professionals. The event will also mark the launch of a new structured training course in pulmonology, aimed at strengthening specialized skills and preparing future-ready clinicians.

Participants attending the CME will be eligible for Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) credit points, adding significant academic value to the programme.
