Heavy rain lashes Karimnagar, brings temporary relief from blistering heat

A sudden spell of heavy rain that lashed Karimnagar late on Thursday (June 04) afternoon led to waterlogging and traffic snarls at several areas in the city.
After weeks of blistering heatwave conditions, the city experienced a heavy downpour for about an hour, bringing temporary relief from the scorching heat.
However, the heavy rain resulted in water stagnation at several traffic junctions including Mancherial Chowrasta and Naka Chowrasta, causing inconvenience to motorists on the busy roads.
According to sources, several parts of the combined Karimnagar district experienced light to moderate pre-monsoon showers on Thursday.
