UMEED portal deadline for listing waqf properties extended

Telangana State Waqf Board chairman Azmatullah Huseini on Friday welcomed Waqf Tribunal’s decision to extend the deadline for uploading Waqf property details on the UMEED portal till July 2.
The board said the extension would help in the completion of registration and digitisation of Waqf properties within the stipulated framework.
According to Mr Huseini, as many as 63,939 waqf properties have been uploaded on the UMEED portal thus far. Of these, 54,550 waqf institutions have already been approved. The board said 33,929 waqf institutions covered under the First Survey have also received approval.
Describing the figures as evidence of substantial progress in the digitisation and registration of waqf assets, Mr.Huseini urged all mutawallis, managing committees and other stakeholders to verify the status of their properties and complete the remaining registration and approval formalities within the extended period.
