Six Telangana districts record temperatures above 45°C as heat intensifies

Maximum temperatures continued to soar across Telangana on Sunday (May 3, 2026), with a total of six districts recording temperatures above 45℃.
According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), Balkonda in Nizamabad was the hottest location in the State touching 45.8℃. This was followed by 45.7℃ in Mallapur (Jagtial), 45.4℃ in Palakurthy (Peddapalli), 45.3℃ in Bela (Adilabad), 45.2℃ in Kerameri (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad) and 45.1℃ in Bheemaram (Mancherial).
