National Handloom Day celebrated with fanfare

The 12th National Handloom Day was celebrated in a grand and enthusiastic atmosphere on Friday at Dhapewada Textile Udyog Producer Company Limited. The event was organised by the Weavers’ Service Centre (WSC), Nagpur, under the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. MLC Rajeev Potdar graced the occasion as the chief guest while Sudhir Dive, Director of Dhapewada Textile Udyog Producer Company Limited, and textile entrepreneur Nidhi Gandhi were the special guests.

Sandeep P Thubrikar, Deputy Director and Office Head of WSC Nagpur; Infrastructure Expansion & Hands-on Skill Training Assistant Director Mahadev Paunikar; Technical Superintendent Naresh Varghane and others were present.
Technical Superintendent Lohit Gautam proposed the vote of thanks. Handloom weavers, beneficiaries, and officials from WSC Nagpur attended the event in large numbers.
