Maharashtra: Panvel Police book municipal sanitation worker for making obscene gestures towards 10-year-old girl

A contractual sanitation worker engaged by the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has been booked after he allegedly lured a 10-year-old girl towards a public toilet while making obscene gestures, officials said on Wednesday.

Panvel City Police have registered a case against the accused, identified as Hasmukh Himmat Waghela, under Section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
