Kumbh Mela is a powerful medium for social unity

Nashik: RSS Sah Sarkaryavah Atul Limaye Ji said that “the Kumbh Mela is not limited to a sacred festival period and holy bathing alone, but also has a broader dimension that awakens religious and social consciousness. The positive changes that emerge over time and the spirit of social harmony are further strengthened through this grand festival. Therefore, the upcoming Kumbh Mela should be made more effective and successful not only through administrative efforts but also through the active participation of society.”

A special meeting was organised at Bhonsala Military College, Nashik, with the objective of making the Kumbh Mela environmentally sustainable, convenient for pilgrims, and supportive of local employment generation. The meeting held extensive discussions on the theme of “Public Participation in the Kumbh Mela.” Comprehensive deliberations took place regarding the planning of activities in various fields, including social welfare, health, economy, education, arts, science, culture and tribal welfare, alongside religious programmes during the Kumbh.
