Six cops bag President’s medals

Nagpur: Six police personnel from Nagpur have been selected for the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service. The Union ministry of home affairs announced the awards on the eve of Independence Day.The recipients are Digambar Pradhan, SP, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Nagpur, Vaibhav Jadhav, ACP (Crime), Prashant Kulkarni, vice-principal, Regional Police Training Centre (RPTC), police inspector Pradeep Chaugaokar, also of the RPTC, and head constables Sanjay Talware and Rajkumar Janbandhu of Nagpur Central Jail.Pradhan, currently posted as SP with the ACB, has a clean service record. Jadhav, who recently took charge of the Crime branch, has previously served as a police inspector with Nagpur city and rural police and worked at several police stations across Vidarbha.Senior officers congratulated the recipients. The medals will be formally presented at a later ceremony.
