Three arrested for overseas job fraud

ADILABAD

Mavala police on Thursday arrested three persons for allegedly cheating an unemployed youth of ₹3 lakh on the pretext of arranging an overseas job for him.  

The arrested persons were identified as Mohd. Khaja Moiuddin, 28, Goremiya, 62, and Bale Srinivas, 47, all from Mavala in Adilabad district. Another accused in the case is absconding. According to police, the arrests followed a complaint lodged by Lavanya of Kailashnagar in Mavala mandal. She alleged that the accused collected ₹3 lakh from her brother Rahul on the promise of securing an overseas job for him.

The accused allegedly threatened her with dire consequences when she insisted a refund after the promised job failed to materialise.
