Flowing sewage in Parade Ground raises a stink

The General K.V.Krishna Rao Parade Ground is now covered with sewage as dozens of young and old people play cricket, walk around or lounge in the vast open space. “It has been like this for the past three days. But instead of being controlled, the dark water has spread making it difficult to do fielding,” said Ramesh Singh, a jeweller from Pot Market who plays regularly at the open ground.

A Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Board manhole in the south west corner of the ground is flooding the area with two streams; one flowing to the edge of the ground covering the northern periphery and another near a cricket pitch in the middle.
