Telangana to unveil Bharat Future City master plan during global investor summit in December

The Telangana Government is gearing up to officially release the master plan of the ambitious Bharat Future City, spread over 30,000 acres in Hyderabad’s periphery, in December coinciding with the second edition of the Telangana Rising Global Summit.

The State Government has entrusted the design of master plan of the future city, a brainchild of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, to Singapore based Surbana Jurong. Experts are accordingly developing the comprehensive master plan keeping in view the present as well as emerging requirements. The release of master plan is preceded by inauguration of the office of the Future City Development Authority and the campus of the Young India Skills University on June 10, 2026.

The next edition of the global summit is expected to be held on the campus of the skills university where works are progressing at a brisk pace for its full fledged functioning by the year end. The Chief Minister, according to officials, is very particular that the new capital is divided into different zones to attract investments from the Fortune 500 companies and directed officials to take steps to ensure that the State should be the first destinations for investors with particular reference to the Future City.

The new city had witnessed massive investments in the recent past with Amazon Web Services deciding to set up its data centre there. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the data centre, asserting that the facility would be the anchor client for other industries that would come up in the area.

Officials said as Hyderabad has turned out to be a preferred destination for the global capability centres (GCC) with over 200 being set up here, the Chief Minister wanted a specialised GCC hub to be developed in the Bharat Future City in view of the ever increasing demand. Equal focus is being laid on the life sciences industry hub with the road connecting the zone with Nagarjunasagar highway for providing faster connectivity to the industries nearing completion.
