Telangana gears up for second edition of global investors summit in December 2026
The Telangana Government has initiated exercise for successful conduct of the second edition of Global Investment Summit in December this year.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday (July 6, 2026) has asked the officials to constitute departmental committees for ensuring effective coordination between different departments for hassle free conduct of the event. The Chief Minister gave the instructions during a meeting to review the progress of initiatives in the Tourism sector of the State.
The first edition of the Global Investment summit Telangana Rising Global Summit held at the Bharat Future City on December 8 and 9 last year attracted assurances of Rs. 5.75 lakh crore investment commitments. The State Government signed over 50 memorandums of understanding with interested global majors during the event.
The Chief Minister wanted officials of the Tourism and other departments to prepare the environment to boost investor confidence so that more investment could be attracted through the global event. He wanted Taramati Baradari to be further developed and Durgam Cheruvu converted into a full scale tourist attraction. The neighbouring Vikarabad district should be developed under the tourism hub development scheme. The Veerabhadra swamy temple in Vikarabad should be developed and a temple trust board should be created for its management on the lines of Yadadri.
Steps should be taken to develop ecotourism in the Forest lands abutting the CURE area in coordination with the Tourism department. Eco parks on the lines of the recently inaugurated Gurramguda eco park should be developed. Special emphasis should be laid on the Forest lands in the Future City where the development should be of international standards.
Focus should be on development of urban forests and a special officer should be appointed to speed up works pertaining to creation of urban parks. The Tourism department and the GHMC were directed to develop the heritage bridges of Puranapul as tourist places and provisions should be created for visitors on these bridges. Traffic could be diverted, if necessary, to ensure free commute of the visitors to these bridges.
