Residents protest delay in Teegalaguttapalli ROB works in Karimnagar

Aggrieved residents of the 2nd and 3rd divisions of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC) staged a dharna near the railway track at Teegalaguttapalli in Karimnagar on Sunday, protesting the  alleged inordinate delay in completion of the Road Over Bridge (ROB) near the railway station.

The dharna was organised under the aegis of the 3rd Division Congress Committee.

The protesters alleged that the tardy progress of the ₹154-crore ROB, taken up under the Central government’s Setu Bandhan programme, was causing severe traffic problems on the Karimnagar-Choppadandi main road.

They demanded that the authorities expedite the works and complete the ROB at the earliest to ease the hardships being faced by daily commuters, particularly students, patients and ambulances.
