Nagpur Man Duped of ₹15.14 Lakh in Fake TCS Job

Nagpur: A major cheating case has been reported in Nagpur’s Bajaj Nagar area, where a 23-year-old man was allegedly duped of ₹15.14 lakh after being promised a job at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a contract to attach his car with the company, and assistance in getting his loan waived.

According to police, the complainant, Omkar Narendra Somewar, a resident of Abhyankar Nagar, operates a car rental business. During the course of his business, he came in contact with Archish Badwaik, a resident of Govardhan Nagar in Tumsar tehsil of Bhandara district.

The accused allegedly assured Omkar that he could arrange a job for him at TCS, help attach his vehicle to the company for rental services, and get his outstanding loan waived. Believing these promises, Omkar and his parents paid a total of ₹15.14 lakh to the accused through online transfers and cash.

However, the accused failed to fulfil any of the promises and allegedly disappeared after collecting the money. Realising that he had been cheated, the victim approached Bajaj Nagar Police and lodged a complaint.

Based on the complaint, Bajaj Nagar Police have registered a case of cheating against the accused and initiated an investigation. No arrest has been made so far.
