Nagpur Board Games Meetup Draws 33 Enthusiasts

Nagpur Board Games Club, in collaboration with Reddit Nagpur, successfully organized its 11th Community Board Games Meetup on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Cafe Olive Eyrie, Ambazari, bringing together board game enthusiasts from across the city for an afternoon of strategy, entertainment, and meaningful social interaction.

The event received an overwhelming response from the Nagpur community. Initially announced with 20 seats, registrations filled within a short period. In response to the enthusiastic demand, the organizers increased the capacity to 25 and later 30 participants. Despite the increase, registrations had to be closed due to venue capacity, while several additional interested participants were placed on a waiting list.

A total of 33 participants attended the meetup, representing a diverse mix of students, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and hobbyists. Throughout the afternoon, attendees played a variety of modern board games, including Catan, Coup, Risk, Mafia, UNO, Guess Who, Chess, Jenga, Mothership, Imposter, and several other strategy and party games. The event was designed to be beginner-friendly, with experienced members introducing new players to the games and ensuring everyone could participate.

The event was coordinated by Aditya Agrawal, Mohit Hemrajani, and volunteers from Nagpur Board Games Club, with support from the Reddit Nagpur community. The organizers also expressed their gratitude to Cafe Olive Eyrie for hosting the meetup and providing a welcoming venue for the city’s growing board gaming community.

Founded on 18 January 2026, Nagpur Board Games Club has quickly emerged as one of Nagpur’s fastest-growing hobby communities. In just six months, the club has successfully organized over 11 community meetups, bringing together participants aged 17 to 35 from diverse backgrounds, including students, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and hobbyists. Through its fortnightly meetups, the club provides a welcoming, screen-free environment where people can discover modern board games, make new friends, and foster meaningful social connections.
