Mother killed in horrific road accident days before daughter’s wedding

Nagpur: In a heart-wrenching incident from Nagpur, a road accident has turned a family’s joy into unimaginable grief, as a 43-year-old woman lost her life just days before her daughter’s wedding.

The tragic accident occurred on Thursday afternoon at Rani Durgavati Chowk under the jurisdiction of Panchpaoli Police Station. The deceased has been identified as Kesarbai Tundilal Sharanagat, while her husband, Tundilal Sharanagat, sustained injuries in the incident.

According to police sources, the couple had gone to Bank of Baroda to withdraw money for their daughter’s upcoming wedding, scheduled just ten days later. At around 3:30 pm, while returning home on their motorcycle, the vehicle reportedly broke down. Tundilal began pushing the bike, while Kesarbai walked a short distance behind him.

At that moment, a speeding goods vehicle approached from behind and rammed into Kesarbai with great force. The impact was so severe that the vehicle lost control and crashed into another vehicle parked ahead. Kesarbai was tragically trapped between the two vehicles, leading to her instantaneous death at the spot.

The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, further highlighting the intensity of the collision.

The sudden death has devastated the family, especially as they were in the midst of preparations for their daughter’s wedding. What was meant to be a time of celebration has now turned into mourning.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. Efforts are underway to identify and take action against the driver of the goods vehicle.
