Massive fire at scrap yard in Hyderabad’s Bholakpur triggers firefighting, late night evacuation

A major fire broke out at a scrap yard in Bholakpur, Musheerabad, late on Sunday (May 3, 2026) night, prompting a large-scale firefighting operation and the evacuation of nearby residents.

As a precautionary measure, between 50 and 100 residents from adjoining buildings were evacuated before the firefighting efforts intensified. No human casualties have been reported. However, a dog domesticated within the warehouse died in the fire.
