Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday (June 27, 2026) urged party cadre to intensify membership registration and take the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls seriously, while alleging that ‘development has disappeared’ in the State under Revanth Reddy-led Congress government.

Addressing a meeting of key BRS workers from Maheshwaram constituency in Rangareddy district, KTR said the State was witnessing ‘only destruction and tragedy’, and accused the ruling Congress of indulging in huge scams.

He called upon party activists to be vigilant during the voter roll revision to prevent deletion of names of eligible voters. He also asked them to ensure that digital membership registration becomes a huge success, stating that the party would issue identity cards to workers to strengthen organisational structure.

Claiming that public sentiment still favours former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, KTR said, “Even if Revanth Reddy is the Chief Minister, people continue to think of KCR and eagerly waiting for his come back.”

The BRS leader levelled several charges against the Congress government, including failure to deliver on electoral promises, mismanagement of welfare schemes, and neglect of farmers’ concerns.

On land issues, KTR accused the Congress government of going back on its promise to scrap the proposed Pharma City project and return lands to farmers. He said lands pooled from farmers in Maheshwaram and Ibrahimpatnam had not been returned as promised, and alleged that the focus was now on large-scale land acquisition in the name of the ‘Future City”

Calling on cadre to prepare for the next Assembly elections, KTR expressed confidence that the BRS would regain power. He said party activists must work at the booth level to strengthen the organisation and ensure electoral success. He also expressed confidence about Sabitha Indra Reddy’s re-election to the Assembly from Maheshwaram.
