Addressing the session organised by The Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ISNT) Nagpur Chapter here on Thursday, Dr Jaiteerth Joshi, Director General of BrahMos, DRDO and CEO & MD of BrahMos Aerospace, highlighted the critical role of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in ensuring safety, reliability, and quality across strategic and industrial sectors and encouraged stronger partnerships among industries, educational institutions, and professional bodies.
The high-level industry interactive session was held under the leadership of Chairman of the Chapter Jeevan Ghime and Secretary Parag Pathak.

The meeting witnessed participation from leading industries and organisations, including Becquerel Industries Private Limited, NECO Industries Limited, Tata Group, BIPL, Essar, BrahMos, Jayaswal Group, and several other prominent industrial establishments.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on the challenges faced by industries, particularly the growing need to educate and train engineering students in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) practices in both Mechanical and Civil Engineering disciplines.

Participants emphasised the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry through practical exposure, skill development programmes, and specialised NDT training initiatives. A key recommendation that emerged from the deliberations was the active participation and collaboration of BrahMos Aerospace with the ISNT Nagpur Chapter to promote advanced NDT technologies, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and the development of a highly skilled technical workforce. The event marked a significant milestone for the Chapter, reaffirming its commitment to fostering industrial growth, technological excellence, and making it a centre of excellence in Non-Destructive Testing and industrial innovation.
