Hyderabad Policy Conclave concludes with focus on implementation gaps and inclusive governance
The three-day Hyderabad Policy Conclave – The Indian Era, organised by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Hyderabad, concluded at the MCR HRD Institute on April 29, with wide-ranging discussions on governance reform, sustainability, and inclusive development. The final day brought together policy-makers, researchers and practitioners from across India to reflect on what works in policy implementation and where persistent gaps remain.
Across seven sessions, participants examined issues ranging from urban fiscal reform and women’s livelihoods to indigenous knowledge systems and sustainability challenges. A recurring theme was the disconnect between policy design and on-ground realities.
