Fuel Prices Rise Again in Nagpur; Petrol Crosses ₹108 Mark
Nagpur: Fuel prices have gone up once again, adding further pressure on household budgets and transportation costs. As per the latest revision announced on Tuesday, petrol prices were increased by 87 paise per litre, while diesel became costlier by 91 paise per litre.
The hike comes amid rising crude oil prices in the international market and ongoing supply concerns. Oil companies say the increase was necessary due to mounting losses and global market instability.
After the fresh revision, petrol prices in Nagpur have crossed the ₹108 per litre mark, while diesel prices are nearing ₹95 per litre.
Nagpur Fuel Price Comparison
| Date | Petrol Price | Diesel Price |
|---|---|---|
| 19 May 2026 | ₹108.00 approx | ₹94.60 approx |
| 18 May 2026 | ₹107.13 | ₹93.69 |

Earlier this week, fuel prices had already witnessed a sharp ₹3 per litre increase, making this the second hike within a few days. The continuous rise is expected to impact transportation, logistics, vegetables, milk, and other daily essentials.
Residents and vehicle owners in Nagpur have expressed concern over the repeated hikes, saying the increasing fuel burden is directly affecting monthly expenses. Experts warn that if crude oil prices continue to rise globally, fuel rates in India may increase further in the coming weeks.
