Eight junior colleges submit fake Fire NOCs to Intermedia Board; booked for allegedly forging HYDRAA chief’s signature

Criminal cases have been filed against eight private junior colleges in Hyderabad on allegations of forging the signature of the chief of Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) A. V. Ranganath

The signature was forged on the Fire No Objection Certificates (NOC), the complaint made by HYDRAA authorities to the Lake Police Station stated.

HYDRAA has been authorised by the Director General of Fire Services to give Fire NOCs to non-high rise buildings, and several junior colleges are submitting their applications to HYDRAA, the complaint said.

The forgery issue came out when HYDRAA sought details of the NOCs submitted by junior colleges to the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE). Of the total 76 NOCs, eight were found to have been fake.

The eight colleges

The colleges facing the allegations are Priyanka Junior College, Mehdipatnam; Mother’s Girls Junior College, Vidya Nagar; Sri Chandra Junior College, Chandrayangutta; New Era Junior College, Chikkadpally; Shaheen Junior College, Shivrampally; Vasista Junior College, Tellapur; Haindavi Junior College, Barkatpura, and Resonance Junior College, SR Nagar.
