E-Rickshaw Driver Seriously Injured in Tehsil Area, Four Accused Booked

Nagpur: A 25-year-old e-rickshaw driver was seriously injured after being attacked with a knife in the Tehsil area, in what appears to be a fallout of a heated argument. Police have registered a case against four accused and initiated a search operation.

According to police, the victim, Junaid Mustaq Javeri, was passing through the Timki area on Tuesday afternoon when he got into an argument with three unidentified youths.

Later in the evening around 6 pm, Junaid, along with his friend Arshad Sheikh, went in search of the youths. Upon confronting them, the dispute escalated, and the accused allegedly assaulted both of them.

During the attack, one of the assailants stabbed Junaid in the back, leaving him seriously injured. The accused fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Junaid was rushed to a hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment. Police have identified one of the accused as Vedant Gaur, a resident of Timki with a prior criminal record. Efforts are underway to trace and arrest the remaining accused.
