Dr Hedgewar Seva Samiti To Build Public Library In Dharni | Nagpur News

Amravati: A public library will be set up for citizens and students in Dharni, a tribal region in Amravati district. The govt has decided to allot govt land to the Dr Hedgewar Birth Centenary Seva Samiti, Akola (Dharni) for this purpose.Following instructions of CM Devendra Fadnavis, revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule approved the proposal, and the revenue dept issued the order regarding this on Tuesday.Per the govt decision, a govt plot measuring 163 sqm in Mouje Dharni, will be given to the samiti for constructing a public library. The allotment will be on Occupancy Class-2 tenure.According to GR, the land can be used only for a public library. Without prior govt permission, the land cannot be sold, transferred, mortgaged, or leased. The organization will also be required to comply with all development control rules of the PWD and the local planning authority. Amravati’s guardian minister, Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, “Setting up a public library in a remote area like Dharni is an investment in the bright future of the new generation. This decision will provide reading facilities to students,” he said.
