Cyberabad Police and the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) organised the fourth edition of Coffee with a Cop on Friday, bringing together students and young professionals for an interactive session on drug abuse awareness and resilience to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

Held at Inorbit Mall, Mindspace, the session, themed Building Resilience in a Changing World – Drug Abuse Awareness, featured Inspector General of Police, Multi Zone-I, S. Chandrasekhar Reddy as the keynote speaker.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Chandrasekhar Reddy shared his personal journey to the Indian Police Service, stressing that discipline, perseverance and resilience were key to achieving long-term goals. He encouraged participants to become ambassadors for a drug-free society, saying every positive decision contributes to a stronger and safer nation.

The event was inaugurated by Rashmi Srivastava, Director – Strategic Project Execution, SCSC, who highlighted the importance of creating platforms where young people can interact directly with law enforcement on issues affecting their lives.

The session was moderated by SCSC Chief Executive Officer Naved Alam Khan, who encouraged participants to engage in discussions on resisting peer pressure, recognising the early warning signs of substance abuse and supporting friends facing addiction.

The programme concluded with an interactive rapid-fire session and a message emphasising personal responsibility in preventing drug abuse. Representatives from industry, including Vanitha Datla of ELICO Ltd. and Shravan Gone of K. Raheja Corp, also attended the event.
