Apollo Hospitals Launches 400-Bed Smart Hospital in Hyderabad, ETHealthworld


Hyderabad: Apollo Hospitals has expanded its healthcare footprint with the launch of a 400-bed next-generation smart hospital in Hyderabad, taking the group’s total network in India to 76 hospitals.

The hospital has been designed as a digitally integrated care ecosystem, combining AI-enabled systems, real-time clinical connectivity and advanced diagnostics to streamline patient care. The facility is equipped with technologies such as Arthrex Pano Scope for enhanced visualisation in minimally invasive procedures and VALD technology to support objective assessment of strength, movement and rehabilitation.

The imaging department includes the uMR Omega ultra-wide bore 3.0T MRI system with AI-enabled workflows aimed at improving scan efficiency and patient comfort. The hospital also houses advanced ICU infrastructure with dedicated nursing care at each bed, alongside a biophilic design intended to enhance patient recovery and comfort.

Speaking at the launch, Prathap C. Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, said,”The new hospital reflects the group’s continued commitment to building accessible, technology-driven healthcare infrastructure in India.”

Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals, said,”The facility strengthens Hyderabad’s role as a hub for advanced medical care while expanding the group’s mission of delivering high-quality healthcare through technology-led systems.”

As part of its community outreach efforts, Upasana Konidela, Vice Chairperson CSR, announced that the hospital will conduct 10,000 free health screening check-ups for residents of the Nanakramguda area every Sunday.

Tejesvi Veerepalli, Regional CEO – AP/Telangana, said the new facility will also enhance the city’s emergency response network through connected ambulances and the emergency helpline 1066, enabling faster response during the critical “golden hour”.
