Anne Hathaway Embarks on an Odyssey of Maternity Style
The Odyssey press tour may be behind us, but Anne Hathaway is only ramping up her maternity style.
Hathaway took a cue from the Rihanna school of maternity dressing today in New York, baring her bump in a white Stella McCartney tee with a netted torso. She kept the summery look going with a blue and white striped slip skirt—also McCartney—a pair of strappy, embellished Aquazurra sandals, and a petite Prada Bonnie bag.
The look was a natural continuation of Hathaway’s recent globe-spanning press tour style. The actor—who played Odysseus’s homebound wife, Penelope—used The Odyssey promotion as a showcase for her high-octane maternity style. Kicking things off was the cherry red jumpsuit from New York cult-favorite brand Ashlyn, a ruffled drop-waist peplum emphasizing her bump. (Hathaway, who wore the jumpsuit backwards, poked fun at herself—and the eagle-eyed fashion media—on social media.)
Though she played a mortal, Hathaway embraced ethereal, goddess dressing throughout the press run. At the London premiere, she went for maximum glamour, draping her bump in an ethereal sky blue pleated gown from Dior. She continued her empire waist streak in Paris, where she wore a rich chocolate empire dress with a ruffled leather bodice and a flowing silk plissé skirt from Louis Vuitton. And back in New York, she turned to Prada (for the second time this press tour) for a bejeweled, criss-crossing bodice with an off-white pleated skirt. Of course, Hathaway’s accessories were also fit for a queen: throughout the run, she’s accessorized her flurry of looks with Bvlgari jewelry. Penelope would be proud.
