Nagpur Police Commissioner Conducts Surprise Visit to Pandhrabodi and Meetha Neem Slum Areas

Nagpur: Police Commissioner of Nagpur City, Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, carried out a surprise and strategic visit to the Pandhrabodi and Meetha Neem slum areas on May 5, 2026. The visit followed multiple inputs and complaints regarding drug trafficking and other illegal activities in these localities.
During the visit, Nityanand Jha, along with RCP Team 1 and RCP Team 3, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Kiran Popalghat were present. The operation was led by Police Hawaldar Veeresh Vaishnav and Assistant Sub-Inspector Gopal Mankar.
The Commissioner personally reviewed the ground situation, inspected suspected hotspots linked to drug activities, and assessed other unlawful operations. He held discussions with local police officials and issued strict instructions to strengthen surveillance and enforcement.
As part of the drive, search operations, combing actions, and foot patrols were conducted across the area. Several suspicious individuals were checked, identities verified, and inquiries carried out to curb criminal activity.
The Commissioner directed officials to intensify patrolling, strengthen intelligence networks, and increase engagement with local residents. He also interacted with citizens, urging them to remain alert and report any suspicious activities immediately.
The visit is part of Nagpur Police’s focused strategy to monitor sensitive zones and strengthen its anti-drug crackdown. The department reiterated its commitment to public safety and confirmed that such drives will continue in the coming days.
