Thane gold theft: Crime branch arrests man, recovers 865 gm jewellery worth Rs 1.12 crore



The Crime Branch in Maharashtra’s Thane district has arrested a man for allegedly stealing gold ornaments worth Rs 1.12 crore after deceiving a jeweller and his customers, police said on Sunday.

The accused, Rohit Malhari Andhale, was taken into custody from Ahilyanagar district a few days ago after a case was registered at the Badlapur East police station, an official told news agency PTI.
