Telangana government extends deadline to apply for affordable flats in Hyderabad (CURE) till August 15

The deadline to apply for Telangana government’s Indiramma Houses (affordable flats) in 16 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad (CURE) limits is extended by five days. While the earlier deadline was August 10, 2026, it is now extended to August 15, 2026. 

Housing and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy earlier said that the deadline would not be extended. However, considering the series of holidays from Sunday to Monday, the deadline is extended, he said late on Monday, August 10, 2026. Officials were directed  to complete allotment of the houses by the end of the month. 

Despite the holidays, the State Housing Board received nearly 11,000 applications on Sunday and Monday. While 35,125 people applied for 7,340 flats till Saturday (August 8, 2026) evening, it shot to 46,121 by Monday evening.

The Minister said that despite extension of the deadline, there should be no delays in scrutiny of applications and other processes. 

The government on July 20 has announced plans to build 7,680 flats in housing towers across 16 Assembly constituencies, under the first phase of its agenda to construct one lakh houses in Hyderabad (Core Urban Region). The government would give a subsidy of ₹5 lakh for each of the flats. Beneficiaries have to pay ₹6 lakh in four installments. Each flat would have a built up area of 528 square feet (sft), with carpet area of 400 sft. However, due to restrictions in Secunderabad Cantonment constituency, total flats there will be less than 480. People have applied through MeeSeva Centres, its website or WhatsApp number (8096958096). 

The applications were received from July 21, 2026. Out of the 46,121 applications received till Monday, the highest of ‘6,615 were from Kukatpally, followed by 5,571 from Quthbullapur and 5,518 from Khairatabad.
