Maharashtra FDA raids: Maharashtra FDA raids 88 locations, files 20 FIRs and seize fake medicines, cosmetics worth Rs 9.5 cr in two months

Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) launched a crackdown against illegal medicines, medical supplies, fake cosmetics and misleading health products, seizing or stopping the sale of goods worth Rs 9.50 crore during June and July 2026, an official statement said.

During the two-month drive, FDA officials conducted raids at 88 locations across the state. The department seized goods worth Rs 5.69 crore and prevented the sale of products valued at Rs 3.81 crore, it said.
