One of the major initiatives
launched under his leadership
was “Operation Thunder”, an
anti-drug campaign that com-
bined strict action against ped-

and young people. The drive
resulted in several seizures and
arrests and helped bring the

rescue operations were carried
out and action was taken

ing surprise night operations
and stepping up action against
history-sheeters, gambling
dens and organised crime net-
works. Cybercrime investiga-
tions were also expanded, while
a Special Investigation Team
was formed to probe major
fraud cases.

Road safety remained anoth-
er area of focus. Through
“Operation U-Turn”, Nagpur
Police promoted helmet use
and stricter enforcement of traf-
fic rules. He also encouraged
the use of technology and inno-
vative patrolling methods to
improve public safety.
Known for his accessibility
and fitness-conscious lifestyle,
Dr Singal maintained regular
interaction with citizens and
urged officers to stay connect-
ed with the public. Grievance
redressal programmes and vis-
its to sensitive areas helped
strengthen public trust in the
police force.

the helm of Nagpur Police, Dr
Singal has now been appoint-
ed as ADG, ACB. His tenure will
be remembered for balancing
firm law enforcement with a
