4 women rescued from flesh trade operating at spa | Nagpur News
Nagpur: The city police Crime Branch rescued four women after busting a prostitution racket allegedly operational at a luxury spa near Bajaj Nagar Chowk. Police arrested the spa manager and launched a search for two alleged traffickers suspected of supplying women to the establishment.The action was taken under ‘Operation Shakti’ on Sunday evening. As per police, officers of Crime Branch Unit-1 were on patrol when they received information about illegal activities being conducted at the spa. A team reached the premises around 5.25pm and found that flesh trade was allegedly operational at the spa under the guise of wellness services.Police arrested Aman Vaidya (28), a resident of Byramji Town, for allegedly managing the operations. The rescued women hailed from different parts of the country, including Pune, Delhi and Meghalaya, said sources.The Crime Branch seized cash Rs4,800, three mobile phones and other materials, collectively valued at Rs84,830. Investigators suspect that the operation was part of a wider network involving interstate trafficking of women.Police sais two absconding accused, Sushilkumar Lohariwal and Kamalkumar Gosavi, both residents of Rourkela, are believed to have brought the women to Nagpur. Sources said the arrested manager does not have any previous criminal record. Investigators are expected to question the spa owner and other associates.A case was registered at Bajaj Nagar police station under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
