Nagpur Gets New District Collector: IAS Kumar Ashirvad Takes Charge
Nagpur: The Nagpur district has received new administrative leadership as 2016-batch IAS officer Kumar Ashirvad officially assumed charge as the District Collector on Monday.
During a brief handover ceremony held at the Collectorate, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vipin Itankar formally transferred responsibilities to him.
Kumar Ashirvad, who was previously serving as the District Collector of Solapur, has been appointed to Nagpur following a recent administrative reshuffle by the state government.
His appointment is expected to bring renewed direction and momentum to administrative functioning and development initiatives in the district.
