Four youths held for thrashing doctor, staff after hospital refuses inflated bill for insurance

The Nirmal town police on Saturday arrested four youths for thrashing a doctor and staff of a private hospital in the town after they refused to give inflated bill for higher insurance claim while discharging a patient on Thursday (March 26, 2026).

Acting on a complaint by the management of SVR Children’s Hospital, the police registered a case and launched an investigation.

Based on CCTV footage, the police identified the accused and arrested them.

The accused have been identified as Mohd. Salman, 27, Mohd. Shoukath, 28, Shabad Ali, 26, and Mohd. Azad, 21, all residents of Nirmal town.
