Executive Committee Meeting of Association of Charitable Hospitals (ACH) Held in Nagpur; “Nagpur Health Vision 2030” Unveiled

Nagpur – The Executive Committee of the Association of Charitable Hospitals (ACH), Nagpur, convened a significant meeting at the Matru Seva Sangh Hospital in Mahal. The session was presided over by Smt. Kanchan Nitin Gadkari, President of ACH, and saw active participation from office bearers, executive committee members, and representatives from nearly 20 charitable hospitals across the city. The primary focus of the gathering was to address the operational challenges faced by charitable institutions and to chart a progressive roadmap for the healthcare landscape in Nagpur.

During the deliberations, the committee examined several critical issues, including the implementation of the indigent patient scheme, concerns regarding property tax, and the rising costs of electricity and water. Matters related to GST and the progress of pending government proposals were also discussed in detail. A key outcome of the meeting was the decision to seek an official appointment with Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and relevant cabinet ministers. This move aims to accelerate the representation of their grievances, which were previously submitted through Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, the Minister of State in charge of charitable hospitals.

A major highlight of the evening was the presentation of “Nagpur Health Vision 2030” by Mr. Vilas Shende, CEO of ACH. This strategic roadmap emphasizes the strengthening and redevelopment of charitable hospitals through collaborative partnerships. The vision is designed to enhance overall health outcomes, improve urban cleanliness, and tackle air pollution in alignment with national benchmarks. The proposal received unanimous appreciation and support from the members, who viewed it as a vital step toward sustainable urban health.

In addition to the strategic vision, the committee approved the proposed budget for the 2026–27 financial year and reviewed the status of membership fees. To modernize its operations, the ACH resolved to develop an official website to improve transparency and stakeholder outreach. The association also announced plans to launch holistic health initiatives synchronized with United Nations’ international observance days to contribute toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the region. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to MSS Hospital for hosting the event, with prominent attendees including Vice-President Dr. Sunita Vikas Mahatme, General Secretary Mr. Jagdish Gupta, and Treasurer Adv. P. G. Ghatole.
