All Breed Dog Show in Nagpur Draws 120 Canine Entries Across 30 Breeds


The Department of Animal Husbandry, Nagpur, successfully organized an All Breed Dog Show at Mahalaxmi Saras Tadarshini on Sunday, drawing enthusiastic participation from dog lovers and breeders across the region.

A total of 120 dogs representing around 30 different breeds took part in the event. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Nitin Patil, Vice Chancellor of MAFSU, Nagpur. Dr. Satish Raju, RJC Animal Husbandry, Nagpur, attended as the distinguished guest. Other notable dignitaries present included Dr. Nitin Fuke and Dr. Subodh Nandagawde.

The judging panel comprised Mr. Sunil Bangari from Hyderabad and Dr. Pradnye Taksande from Nagpur, who evaluated the participating dogs on various parameters.

In the final round, the top 10 dogs were awarded prizes. The first place was secured by a German Shepherd named “Oboot,” owned by Chetan Mudliyar. Second place went to a Rottweiler owned by Ayush Patil, while third place was claimed by a German Shepherd owned by Harish Baricha.

The fourth position was awarded to a Labrador owned by Akshay Gore, followed by a Golden Retriever owned by Deva Savarkar in fifth place. Sixth place went to a Beagle owned by Rishiv Meshram. The seventh position was awarded to a Boxer, eighth to a Shih Tzu, and ninth to a Corgi.

A special highlight of the event was a performance by renowned dog trainer Bila Khaparde, who entertained the audience with an impressive display of skills alongside his dog “Sweety.”

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shrimant Modhuji Raje Bhosale. Other dignitaries present included Dr. Satish Raju, Dr. Nitin Fuke, Dr. Subodh Nandagawde, Dr. Anupkumar Rathi, Dr. Taksande, and Dr. Mayur Kate.

The event was successfully organized through the dedicated efforts of Dr. Nitin Fuke, Dr. Mayur Kate, Dr. Rathi, Piyush Mohite, Mohan Naidu, Nagaraj Manpati, and other team members.
