Nagpur–Madgaon Express Regularised, Inaugural Service Flagged Off from Nagpur
Nagpur, 17th May 2026: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari flagged off the inaugural run of the regular 11203/11204 Nagpur–Madgaon Express service at Nagpur Railway Station on Saturday, marking the formal regularisation of the train by the Railway Board after its earlier operation as the 01139/01140 Nagpur–Madgaon Special.
The inaugural ceremony was held at Platform No. 8 of Nagpur Railway Station at 3:05 pm in the presence of railway officials, public representatives and passengers. The event also featured a cultural dance performance by children of WSSC Balak Mandir.
Among those present at the ceremony were Member of Parliament Shyamkumar Barve, Rajya Sabha Member Maya Ivanate, MLA Pravin Datke, Nagpur Mayor Neeta Thakre, along with senior railway officials and other public representatives.
The regularisation of the service addresses a long-pending demand for direct rail connectivity between the Vidarbha region and the Konkan-Goa belt.
As per the schedule, train number 11203 Nagpur–Madgaon Bi-weekly Express will commence regular operations from May 16. The train will depart from Nagpur every Wednesday and Saturday at 3:05 pm and reach Madgaon at 5:45 pm the following day.
Train number 11204 Madgaon–Nagpur Bi-weekly Express will begin service from May 17. It will depart from Madgaon every Thursday and Sunday at 8 pm and arrive in Nagpur at 9:25 pm the next day.
The train will halt at Wardha, Pulgaon, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Nasik Road, Igatpuri, Kalyan, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali.
