4 women arrested for stealing iron material from road construction site in Nagpur

Nagpur: In a significant breakthrough, the Nagpur Police have busted a gang involved in theft of iron materials from an ongoing road construction site under Pachpaoli police station limits, arresting four women based on CCTV evidence.
The matter came to light after a complaint was lodged regarding the theft of iron material kept at a road construction site being executed by NCC Company. Security supervisor Rohit Singh reported the incident to the police.
During the investigation, officials scanned CCTV footage from the area, which showed a group of women transporting iron material in an auto-rickshaw. Acting on this lead, police traced and arrested four accused women.
The arrested have been identified as Chanda Gosavi (a resident of Sangli), along with Gauri Gosavi, Sheetal Gosavi, and Urmila Gosavi, all residents of Kotwali area. According to police, the accused hired an auto-rickshaw and, with the driver’s assistance, carried out the theft.
Police have recovered stolen angles and other iron items from their possession. Further investigation is underway to determine whether the group was involved in similar thefts across other parts of the city.
