50-year-old man killed after SUV collides with two-wheeler in Kondapur

A 50-year-old man was killed after the two-wheeler on which he was travelling as a pillion rider was hit by an SUV near the RTO office in Kondapur early on Monday (August 10, 2026).
The accident occurred around 5.30 a.m. when the SUV, bearing registration number AP 40 HU 0555, collided with the two-wheeler (TG 32 4957).
The pillion rider, Chella Srinivasulu, a resident of Wanaparthy district, sustained fatal injuries and died at the spot. His body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination. The two-wheeler rider, Shiva Kumar, sustained minor injuries and was shifted to a hospital for treatment. Police reached the spot soon after the accident and initiated further action.
The SUV involved in the Kondapur accident is registered in the name of Punati Abhinay. Police records show one previous traffic violation against the vehicle, for using tinted glass/black film, for which a ₹700 challan was issued by the Jubilee Hills traffic police in December 2025.
