NMC Launches WhatsApp Facility for Direct Complaints to Commissioner


In a citizen-friendly initiative aimed at improving accessibility and transparency, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has introduced a WhatsApp-based complaint system, allowing residents to directly reach the Municipal Commissioner. Under this new system, citizens can send their grievances to the dedicated WhatsApp number 7060731408, ensuring faster communication with the administration.

According to officials, the Commissioner is available at the office from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, during which citizens can also meet in person by prior appointment. However, for convenience, the WhatsApp service has been introduced so that complaints can be submitted easily without the need to visit the office.

The initiative is expected to make the grievance redressal mechanism more efficient, transparent, and time-bound. Authorities stated that complaints received through WhatsApp will be reviewed promptly, reducing delays and eliminating the need for repeated visits to government offices. This move aligns with NMC’s efforts to adopt digital solutions and bring governance closer to the people.
