Income Tax Employees’ Federation holds national committee meeting

More than 100 delegates from 18 regions across India gathered here in the city in for the Central Working Committee meeting of the Income Tax Employees Federation (ITEF), where key resolutions on employee welfare, recruitment, promotions, cadre restructuring and workplace infrastructure were adopted.
The two-day meeting, held on June 12 and 13, formed part of the federation’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and carried special significance as ITEF was founded in Nagpur in 1953.
The meeting was hosted by the ITEF Vidarbha Circle and presided over by M Vengatesan, President, ITEF (CHQ), under the coordination of Roopak Sarkar, Secretary General, ITEF (CHQ). Senior Income Tax officials, federation leaders and delegates from across the country participated in the deliberations.

 

Satpal Gulati, Director General, NADT, attended as chief guest, while Sandip Kumar Salunke, Commissioner of Income Tax, was the guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering, M Vengatesan emphasised on organisational unity and constructive engagement with the administration. Roopak Sarkar highlighted the federation’s efforts to safeguard employee rights and improve service conditions. Delegates appreciated the arrangements made by Abhay Ashtikar, President, ITEF Vidarbha Circle, and Sanjay Rodge, General Secretary, ITEF Vidarbha Circle.
