Jharkhand T20 League: Koylanchal Super Kings and Chota Nagpur Royals win
The Jharkhand T20 Cricket League featured two closely contested matches on day four at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.
Koylanchal Super Kings reached 142 for 3 in 16.4 overs before heavy rain caused an interruption in their first match of the day. Sharandeep Singh Bhatia was unbeaten on 74 from 50 balls, supported by Robin Minz, who scored 21. After the delay, Ranchi Titans were set a revised DLS target of 82 runs from 7 overs. Despite a determined effort, the Titans fell short by 3 runs, finishing on 78 for 4. Shrestha contributed 28 not out and Satya Setu scored 28.
Harsh Raj was named Player of the Match after an excellent bowling performance of 3 for 18, which helped restrict the opposition and secure victory for Koylanchal Super Kings.
In the second game, Santhal Strikers posted 168 for 8, with Sumit Kumar scoring 60. Kumar Suraj also made a significant contribution. Suprieyo Chakraborty was outstanding for Chota Nagpur Royals with bowling figures of 4 for 25 in 4 overs, including the league’s first hat-trick. He received the Player of the Match award for his performance.
Chasing 169, Chota Nagpur Royals were propelled by half-centuries from Virat Singh (51) and Avinash Kumar (54). Mohit Kumar added an important 35 from 26 balls. The Royals reached 172 for 7 on the final ball to achieve a three-wicket victory.
