Maharashtra Urja Expo 2026 concluded successfully in Nagpur after two impactful days of industry dialogue, technology showcases, business networking and policy engagement that reinforced Maharashtra’s position as one of India’s most active renewable energy markets.

Jointly organised by FirstView Media Ventures Pvt. Ltd. and the Maharashtra Clean Energy Alliance (MCEA), the second edition brought together policymakers, government officials, developers, EPC contractors, manufacturers, financiers, investors, technology providers and clean energy professionals from across Maharashtra and beyond.

Held at Le Méridien Nagpur on June 5-6, 2026, the Expo served as a comprehensive platform for discussions around renewable energy deployment, rooftop solar adoption, energy storage integration, industrial decarbonisation, manufacturing readiness and financing pathways required to support Maharashtra’s next phase of clean energy growth.

With participation from over 2,500 attendees, 80+ speakers and 50+ exhibitors, the event reflected the growing momentum across Maharashtra’s renewable energy ecosystem and the increasing importance of collaboration between government, industry and investment stakeholders.

As the market continues to mature, conversations throughout the Expo highlighted a clear focus on execution, project quality, financing, industrial sustainability and scalable deployment models capable of supporting long-term growth.

Two Days of Strategic Industry Dialogue and Market Focus  

Day 1. Utility Scale Growth, Distributed Solar and Renewable Energy Financing  

The opening day focused on the infrastructure, financing and market frameworks driving renewable energy expansion across Maharashtra.

The Expo commenced with opening remarks from Shri Pankaj Tagalpallewar, Chief Engineer (Special Projects), MSEDCL, who highlighted Maharashtra’s renewable energy ambitions and the opportunities emerging across the state’s evolving clean energy landscape.

Day 2. Industrial Decarbonisation, Manufacturing Readiness and Policy Implementation  

The second day focused on industrial sustainability, manufacturing capabilities and policy-led renewable energy growth.

The Expo was honoured by the presence of Shri Chandrashekhar Krishnarao Bawankule, Hon’ble Minister of Revenue, Government of Maharashtra and Guardian Minister of Nagpur & Amravati District, who attended as Chief Guest and reaffirmed Maharashtra’s commitment towards accelerating renewable energy adoption, sustainable development and clean energy investment.

The event also featured a keynote address by Shri Sarang Mahajan, Regional Director, Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), who shared perspectives on Maharashtra’s evolving renewable energy landscape and the opportunities emerging across the sector.
