A burglary was reported at the residence of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) senior leader Kethi Reddy Suresh Reddy in Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad, with thieves allegedly making away with cash and gold jewellery worth around ₹1.5 crore.

Police said that the theft occurred on Saturday (June 6, 2026) at Mr. Reddy’s residence in Z Colony when he and his family members were away.

According to preliminary information, unidentified persons allegedly broke into an iron safe inside the house and escaped with the valuables. The burglary came to light on the morning of Sunday (June 7, 2026) when family members returned home and found the house ransacked. They subsequently alerted the police.

Sanath Nagar Police registered a case and launched an investigation. Clues teams and a dog squad were pressed into service to examine the scene and collect forensic evidence.

The police have also deployed special teams to analyse CCTV footage from the surrounding area to trace the movements of the suspects and determine how they gained access to the property.

Investigators suspect the burglars may have carried out the theft after carefully studying the layout of the residence and choosing a time when the occupants were away. The police are also examining whether the offenders had prior knowledge of the house and the valuables stored inside. Efforts were underway to identify and apprehend the accused. Further investigation is in progress.
