The dish is a favorite among locals and is considered an essential part of the city’s food identity.

The massive preparation required extensive planning, ingredient sourcing, and coordination to serve the large crowd that gathered for the occasion.

The event not only highlighted Nagpur’s love for poha but also aimed to bring wider recognition to the traditional dish on a global stage.

Organizers described the celebration as a tribute to local food culture and a way to unite people through a shared culinary experience.

World Poha Day, observed every year on June 7, celebrates the popularity of poha across India in its many regional variations.
