330 mobile phones worth ₹66 lakh traced, handed over to owners in Adilabad


Adilabad district police have recovered a total of 330 lost or stolen mobile phones worth ₹66 lakh using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal.

Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan on Thursday (June 04) handed over the recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners at a programme held in the District Police Headquarters in Adilabad.

According to the police, as many as 1500 missing mobile phones were recovered by the district police through the CEIR portal and returned to their owners so far this year. 

People can report the loss or theft of mobile phones through the web portal https://www.ceir.gov.in
